In this art piece, I continue my exploration of the purpose of artistic expression. I also seek to reflect the human need to impose patterns on experience. However, by breaking down and fragmenting the image, I suggest that human potential is uncontainable. Each of the eight media represents a different facet to my character. They suggest my endless creative potential and my ability to choose any path and develop in multiple ways. Each square appeals to the eye in different ways and conveys a distinct emotion to create an individual effect. Spacing and alignment are important because they draw attention to this idea. The piece challenges the audience to accept that none of us are uniform or definable. Neither is art.
